QUT International's goal is to lead QUT's international engagement. This is achieved in part through strengthening QUT's "real world" positioning in teaching and research by seeking and servicing international, local and internal partnerships. The office also conducts appropriate marketing, research, promotions, and communications activities for the purposes of recruiting international students to QUT, and to offer QUT students an international experience as part of their degree. QUT International's structure features three senior managers reporting to the Executive Director of QUT International. The Director, International Marketing and Recruitment's responsibilities include the oversight of key marketing activities and regions, overseas recruitment agency relationships and its promotional activities. This position is also the standing deputy to the Executive Director. The Director, Business Development's responsibilities include pursuit of market and business development opportunities, International Cooperation Agreements and the management of international visitors and Student Exchanges.The position also oversees policy development., market research and planning.
