QUT International's goal is to lead QUT's international engagement. This is achieved in part through strengthening QUT's "real world" positioning in teaching and research by seeking and servicing international, local and internal partnerships. The office also conducts appropriate marketing, research, promotions, and communications activities for the purposes of recruiting international students to QUT, and to offer QUT students an international experience as part of their degree.

QUT International's structure features two directors reporting to the Executive Director of QUT International. The Executive Director, Mr Ray Kelly, is responsible for the Recruitment and Engagement Plan for QUT International which outlines the University's strategy for recruitment of international students and development of relationships with key partners.

The Director, International Marketing Services, manages the international marketing services team.

The Director, International and Student Mobility, pursues market and program development opportunities, institutional agreements and management of international visitors and the student exchange program, as well as policy development, market research and leading planning activities.
