The Development Office contributes to the Division’s role as the leader of QUT outreach, particularly through:
- Providing advice and expertise to QUT faculties, divisions and institutes in the areas of engagement and partnerships, alumni and fundraising.
- Facilitating and supporting University engagement with community, business, industry and government.
Coordinating, facilitating and supporting alumni programs including growing the active involvement of and communication with graduates and the University community.
- Coordinating fundraising from corporations, government, foundations, other organisations and individuals for core university activities including, senior academic appointments; postdoctoral fellows; teaching programs; scholarships; prizes; equipment and other resources.
- Building a culture of philanthropy in QUT, including through relationships with key stakeholders.
- Coordinating QUT’s sponsorship of externally managed festivals, events and activities.
- Building relationships with internal, professional and industry partners to deliver projects and services in and from QUT venues.
